At Instabridge, we’re always committed to providing our users with the best possible experience when it comes to bridging cryptocurrencies. To ensure we continue to deliver on that promise, we have some important news to share regarding the upcoming Radix Network Babylon upgrade.
Temporary Service Interruption
On the 25th of September, we will temporarily take down both Instapass and Instabridge services. We understand that this may inconvenience our users, but it’s a necessary step to prepare for the Radix Babylon upgrade, which is scheduled for aroundthe 27th of September. We want to ensure a seamless transition to the upgraded network. These dates may change, so please keep an eye on our website.
Planned Downtime for Instabridge
During the upgrade process, Instabridge is expected to be down for approximately two weeks. This downtime is essential to allow our team time to integrate seamlessly with the live Babylon network and conduct thorough testing. Our top priority is ensuring the security and reliability of our services.
Exciting New Features
When Instabridge goes live again on the Babylon network, it will bring along some exciting new features. We’re thrilled to announce that Instabridge will now support the wrapping and two-way bridging of new crypto assets:
The “x” Factor
To distinguish these new wrapped assets on the Radix network, they will have an “x” prefix. For example, USDC will show as xUSDC on the Radix network. This naming convention will make it easy for users to identify and work with these assets on our platform.
With this upgrade, you’ll be able to enjoy two-way wrapping for the mentioned assets. However, please note that the EXRD to XRD bridging service will remain one-way.
We understand that you may have questions and concerns about this upgrade. Rest assured, we will keep you informed every step of the way. We’ll provide regular updates on the progress of the Babylon upgrade for Instabridge through this blog and banners on the Instabridge and Instapass websites. Your satisfaction and confidence in our platform are our top priorities.
If you have questions about the Radix Babylon upgrade and migration process please see the official Radix blog and social channels.
In conclusion, the Radix Network Babylon upgrade is an exciting development for Instabridge and our users. While we prepare for this transition and the temporary service interruption, we are confident that the new features and improvements will enhance your experience with us.
Thank you for being part of the Instabridge community, and we look forward to bringing you a better and more robust bridging experience with the Babylon upgrade. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team.
Stay tuned for more updates, and we appreciate your continued trust in Instabridge!
